Rue Paname offers private lessons for children aged 3-13

Our tutors are very experienced in working with the little ones. We use games and interaction to make the lessons fun and active, while staying with a program in which learning is achieved.

Secondary school students

Preparation for VCE exams can be arduous and lonely. At Rue Paname we assist the young students in this journey, sometimes for 2 or 3 years, sometimes for a year, sometimes for just a couple of months.

The lessons still take place in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere but together with the students we work hard to achieve the best results.

Adults

Whether you want to return to learning French after a break, learn from scratch or you need to do an intensive for a trip, we would be happy to take this journey with you. We cater for all levels and all ages. The lessons are tailored to suit every individual’s needs, pace and goals. To assess your level we refer to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) which is the language level chart officially used in the European community.

Beginner level: We use a textbook, handouts and various exercises designed by Rue Paname. Every few weeks we have a review of what we have done in the form of easy quizzes and translation exercises (we also do it because it’s fun!). It is important to us that you go AT YOUR OWN PACE, as this is the best way to learn. Our tutors know how to assess exactly what you need, your strengths and your weaknesses and work around that in a fun, relaxed and non-judgemental way.

Intermediate level: It is up to you whether you want to use a textbook or not and our teachers can recommend up to date and interesting books. The classes are usually structured as follows: half an hour of conversation and half an hour grammar/tips. Our tutors know how to assess exactly what you need, your strengths and your weaknesses and work around that in a fun, relaxed and non-judgemental way.

Advanced level: These are mostly conversation classes with some hints and tips on grammar or some revisions when necessary. The lessons are usually very relaxed and fun. We will also give you tips on how to keep your French alive and we will probably talk a lot about culture, travel, current affairs, language and anything you like.
