Swann (they/them) – Director and Founder

Swann Biguet comes from Paris and has lived in Melbourne since 2008. They have been teaching French in Melbourne since then. They have established a confident and natural teaching ability and become accustomed to creating lessons for an individual’s abilities and requirements. They have also become very familiar with the VCE curriculum.

Swann is also a circus and physical theatre performer and teacher. They love the arts and culture, as well as good food and travel. They are a fun and easy-going teacher who is able to initiate conversation based on theirs and their student’s interests.

Swann teaches from their teaching studio in Fitzroy North and online.


Marion (she/her) – Mobile tutor

Marion is from Dijon, Burgundy. She studied in Lyon, Rhône-Alps before backpacking in Australia in 2007. She did an online course with Alliance Française to teach French as a foreign language while expecting her first child in 2013. She used to live in Cairns, Far North Queensland and moved permanently to Brunswick in 2014. She now has a few years experience of teaching kids, VCE students and adults of different levels and needs. She does private and group classes. She is always happy to meet new people and take them on French learning journey!

Martine

Martine (she/her) – Mobile tutor

Martine grew up in Lille in the north of France near Belgium and lived in various places in France, including Paris. She arrived in Melbourne in February 2011 and in 2018 started teaching French as a passion alongside her work as a digital marketer. Since then, she has worked as a teacher for various age groups and levels. She has a special talent with children and loves transmitting them her passion for the French language and culture. Being interested in lots of different areas such as the environment, culture, travel, food etc she also is very comfortable with teenagers and adults. 

She enjoys gardening and is self-sufficient with her veggie garden all year long. She loves cycling and running and completed 2 triathlons in 2019. She also loves practising yoga and Pilates.

Martine recently learnt to bake French sourdough bread and is now running an online sourdough microbakery in Carlton in addition to teaching French.
